A motorcycle commonly refers to a two-wheeled motored vehicles. However, the definition of a motorcycle can change depending upon the jurisdiction. Majorly, there are three types of motorcycle. These are street motorcycles, off-road motorcycles and dual-purpose motorcycles.
This classification of motorcycles is a superficial one and can be further narrowed down into sub-types. The sub-types of street bikes may include but are not limited to cruisers, sport bikes, scooters, mopeds, etc. Likewise, off-road motorcycles can be distinguished into different types based on their racing arena which is usually dirt-oriented and such motorcycles are illegal to be dri
ven in public areas. Talking about dual-purpose bikes, these are a hybrid of street bikes and off-road bikes and can be used for off-road driving as well as public use, however, mounting of a pillion is not allowed.
Now that you know about the types of motorcycles, you should also know that riding a bike is much riskier than driving a car. Therefore, you’ll need to keep practising and turn yourself into a good rider before you can actually hit the road. Also never forget to use all the mandatory motorcycle gears especially helmet when planning to hit the road usually depending upon the occasion.
